Moncler: Taking a Shine to the Sea
Paris Fashion Week Day Eight

The digital water line that flowed around the Moncler runway was not just the seashore story of the Gamme Rouge collection.
It was also a sign that designer Giambattista Valli was sailing towards his third successful show of the season, including his own eponymous label and Giamba line.
«I was thinking of the south of France, the Mediterranean, the girls in St Tropez,» said Valli, whose work for Moncler has an easy, sporty energy.
The light on the water and the sparkle on the runway were a prelude to fabrics that often appeared to be illuminated by shine or embellishment.
The shape was high-waisted, sometimes even with a scarf tied across the bosom. While flower prints were an abundant bunch in a single shade of red. The other lead colour was sea-foam white.
Red and white came together for a finale of high performance wear for the yachting trials — or whatever activities fashionistas take up when not stretching out on the beach.
